June 22 - 26 COVID - 19 School Schedule
Wow! I can't believe we are at the last week of school. This is always such an exciting time when in school for both staff and students. The excitement of summer is upon us and well... Report Cards are done and we can all have a little fun celebrating a great school year together. I really am going to miss this week with my kids as this is always a fun time to celebrate a successful school year. This is one reason why I will be planning some fun and special activities for us to do this week as I want my sons to be able to celebrate a successful in school and home school year!
We had a lot of fun learning about different African animals. This week we will play it a little more loosely and I will let my son choose what he wants to learn about each morning. He will love this as some mornings he is already trying to switch up what we are learning about lol.
My youngest son has really kept me on my toes this week. He is such a busy inquisitive boy! He loves to try to keep up to his big brother and stresses me out watching him try. I love seeing them play together and take care of each other when one is sad.
Our gardens are really looking good and I am so excited when we can enjoy fruit and vegetables off them all! Our Kale, Lettuce, basil, dill and chive are all ready to eat and we've definitely been enjoying that. We have many cucumbers growing and my mother in law was just here and helped show me how to prune my tomato plants. We have lots of raspberry and strawberry flowers and hopefully we will be able to enjoy those soon! Our jalapeno pepper plants also seem to be flowering a lot too now and my husband and I are excited to be able to enjoy some hot peppers this summer.
This weekend we had my in laws for a Fathers weekend visit/ worked on our fireplace downstairs. The boys cut and glued the tile up on Friday night. They got to go out and fish Saturday with my oldest son and then we finished the tiling job today with some grout before they went home. It was a great weekend and I feel like we accomplished so much.
Even though I will be letting my sons choose what they want to learn about I will still keep the same schedule of a TV episode of Wild Kratts, Book from (EPIC), and then he will read me 2 - 3 leveled books followed by some type of pencil work (drawing, writing, etc).
